My comments on tutoring Geometry : I always have been skilled in mathematics. Throughout my entire academic career, number relationships and equations have always come pretty easily to me. I even tutored some friends in college because they were struggling. I've have been a very visual learner, so geometry and trigonometry came particularly easily to me. Having a visual aid really helps one understand the relationship between angles, triangles, area, and volume.

I always liked playing up my quirky personality. My favorite teachers and professors were the goofy ones, the ones who can relate to the students' fun side. These teachers also challenged me the most, and I ended up getting so much more out of the course. I figure that, if a student likes the teacher, he or she will pay more attention and have a deeper respect for the teacher. The teacher then can use this trust to push the student a little more, intellectually. I find that is what works best for me.
I don't any paid, professional tutoring experience. However, I have volunteered my services to family members and friends. During my sophomore year, I took Organic Chemistry and excelled. I have taught problem solving to many friends and family. I like to explain the foundations of what they're trying to learn and most importantly explain to them why they're learning it. Once this is done, I bring the whole subject together in the end so that they may see what pieces of the puzzle they were missing. In mathematics for example, one may not understand the algebraic portion of integrals but once I explain the geometrical portion, things start to make sense.
