A Little Bit About Me...

I truly enjoy teaching and working with all levels of math learners. I was blessed to have great math teachers in my education that transferred their passion for the subject on to me. Many students are very apprehensive when they enter math classes because the concepts seem so foreign. I feel the most important thing when it comes to math tutoring is being able to break down mathematical concepts in easy to understand terms so that students are not overwhelmed. Math is fun if it is taught the right way!
I am a Corporate Finance professional whose true passion is math education. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Business Administration - Finance. I enjoy working with students of all ages. As a teacher, there is nothing greater than to see my students succeed. I am more results-oriented and I encourage students to work persistently until they have accomplished their goals. I am friendly, patient, and easy going. Although I push my students to work hard, I also like to have fun and make the learning experience enjoyable as well.
I have a very diverse background and I have many years of experience teaching in different subjects. I was an English teacher for one year in Korea, teaching children at a public school. I have taught fine art at a private school in Salinas. I have also been teaching martial arts and self-defense for over 10 years. I have worked with children as young as 4, to adults in their senior years. I hold a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from San Jose State and I graduated with honors.
