This problem is abstract and challenging to some people. Thus, I rephrase it to, "If you have 7 quarters in your pocket, how much money do you have?" By making the problem more relatable to the student, the problem suddenly appears easier and less intimidating. My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I am able to tutor grades Kinder-5th grade in reading comprehension. As a mother, a writer, and a former reading coach volunteer I am prepared to help your grade school child increase his/her ability to read fluently and comprehend what is being read. I am prepared to work with children who's first language is not English.
