I began my educational career at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. It was here that I learned to challenge myself and to help others. I was led to the field of education after many years of volunteering in schools, at church and as a mentor. I have earned a BA in Sociology and an MA in Elementary Education. I am also working on a second masters in K-12 Literacy Instruction. I have worked as a classroom partner in an Korean ESL classroom; a 3rd-5th grade tutor in a Spanish speaking ESL classroom, a 2nd-5th grade Behavior Specialist, an Instructional Interventionist for 1st-5th grade, a 3rd grade a Kindergarten teacher and am currently a 2nd grade classroom teacher.
