My approach depends on what level of students you are dealing with; and I am good at it. I always have some tactics on how boring subjects catch the student's interest. Physical science and math are often the most difficult subjects for students, but I believe anyone can understand the "basic idea." The difficulty comes from attempting to connect their intuitive understanding with the symbols on the paper. Many students think of these subjects as the memorization of formulas. But if they grasp the "basic idea," they can adapt and apply it to any problems they face. During my Junior year of high school I began to works as an Associate/Substitute preschool teacher for the Park Hill School District in Parkville, MO.
