Experience Summary
Teaching has been an important part of my training at University of Missouri-Columbia and I believe my background would be of utmost importance for this position. I have had considerable undergraduate teaching experience; I have taught discussion and laboratory sessions for courses in General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, in addition, I have also supervised undergraduate research for several students. In the summer of 2009, I worked for as Tutor in the athletic department,I tutored students athletics, Math, French and General chemistry.
Teaching Style
I am committed to an interdisciplinary approach to teaching, and all my courses are structured with this in mind. Rather than simply lecturing in class, I strive to cultivate an interactive environment in which students from diverse backgrounds can express themselves freely while learning to engage in meaningful ways.I feel that it is my responsibility to uphold these standards and to encourage and challenge students to work to their potential.
