I graduated from Jefferson High School in the spring of 2012. I now attend Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne. I have two younger siblings and 4 younger step-siblings that I have helped with their homework, or helped them better understand material assigned to them. Their ages range from 8-17. I know how to explain certain subjects in multiple ways to ensure that eventually the student will understand the material. I am very patient, and I understand that some people learn at slower rates than others. I am majoring in nursing, though I considered teaching English before making this decision. I love teaching, and am looking to make some extra money for things I need while in college.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching English Composition at the college (freshman) level for the past three years. Thus, I feel I would be especially helpful as a tutor for high school students who are interested in both understanding what will be expected of them in college English/writing courses and ensuring that their own writing skills meet those standards. I hold a Masters degree in English with a focus in Creative Writing and am currently working on my Master of Fine Arts degree in Poetry at Purdue.
