My comments on tutoring Anatomy : I took an anatomy class at Harvard Medical School.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). I also have a minor in Biology and Psychology. I have tutored several students during my studies, specifically in the sciences and math. I also have excelled in my English and writing classes throughout high school and college.
I love helping students understand concepts that might be confusing at first. I try to help them understand the big picture and then help them work through more detailed questions.

In 2006 I graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Engineering Science. It gave me an understanding in a broad range of mathematical areas as well as areas of other sciences. During that time I worked with volunteer organizations like Salem Housing and Habitat for humanity for three years, which enabled me to mentor a variety of ages. In the last year I've worked with a homeschooling group on a project called, "Leaping Lizards."

Teaching mainly K-8 on a consistent schedule, I have learned that some students need one-on-one teaching. Being the third teacher in Head Start, I had time to work with individual students. All children were very well prepared for kindergarten. The older children, including High School and Middle School, I would walk around the room and aide them when they were confused. I also had them read the text orally taking turns and we would do the work sheet to prepare for quiz, test or new chapter. I am very patient with those who are truly in need of assistance. I have tutored in the past in phonics for those having difficulty reading and pronouncing letters.

A Little Bit About Me...

I feel if that you really want to learn a subject, that you should try teaching it. I am very friendly and laid back. I try to instill humor and life experiences with my teachings to help the children relate to me or the materials. I love the look of child when the wheels are turning in thier head. I believe that all children have a chance for higher education.
Even though I graduated with a degree in Business Adminstration I hav always enjoys tutoring. I have been tutoring my younger neices and nephews just because I enjoy so. I graduated from Oakland University in 2008 with a BS in Biology and a minor in French. Since then, I have been working on research assignments with a bariatric surgeon from the Detroit Medical Center. The last four years, I have tutored students in the first grade and third through eleventh grade levels. In my experience, I have helped students in English, reading comprehension, all branches of the sciences, mathematics and French. I have also worked with a couple of students that have suffered academically from ADD and have had practice dealing with a number of difficulties they have faced.
