My comments on tutoring Anatomy : I took an anatomy class at Harvard Medical School.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). I also have a minor in Biology and Psychology. I have tutored several students during my studies, specifically in the sciences and math. I also have excelled in my English and writing classes throughout high school and college.
I love helping students understand concepts that might be confusing at first. I try to help them understand the big picture and then help them work through more detailed questions.

I love people's capacity for learning. It gives me joy to know that I have helped another learn something new. I am patient, relaxed, and try to keep tutoring interesting for the recipient. In 2006 I graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Engineering Science. It gave me an understanding in a broad range of mathematical areas as well as areas of other sciences. Teaching mainly K-8 on a consistent schedule, I have learned that some students need one-on-one teaching. Being the third teacher in Head Start, I had time to work with individual students. All children were very well prepared for kindergarten. The older children, including High School and Middle School, I would walk around the room and aide them when they were confused. I also had them read the text orally taking turns and we would do the work sheet to prepare for quiz, test or new chapter. I am very patient with those who are truly in need of assistance. I have tutored in the past in phonics for those having difficulty reading and pronouncing letters.

I believe that the style and approach of teaching varies with each individual student and that it is the tutor’s responsibility to recognize and find the appropriate methods to work with each student. The only teaching style that I believe should be the same across the board for all students is a positive learning environment. I am very patient, energetic, disciplined and compassionate. I love working with children and I love helping them learn. I think that everyone should have an equal opportunity to learn, and some people learn differently than others. I graduated from my high school with honors. I have been in College since two weeks after graduating high school, where I am slowly pursuing a career in Nursing while working full time at the Dow Chemical Company.
