I am currently a high school English teacher teaching all levels of students at a local high school. In the past I have also been involved with teaching online courses. I earned my undergraduate degree from UVM and my MS from UNE. I am currently certified to teach English grade 5-12 in NH.

As an undergraduate I worked at the mathematics tutor lab in our department. As a PhD student I both taught and assisted in the teaching of mathematics courses at the university level. Also I have experience with privately tutoring elementary, jr. high and high school students.
I help point to the truth, aiding the student in discovery. I try to avoid being overly didactic, and prefer to work by asking questions. The most satisfying thing about teaching is being able to witness and participate in the process of comprehension.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated in 2009 with my BA in English and am currently pursuing my masters in writing. While at the undergraduate level I learned about all manner of skill in writing from research papers to poetry. I am currently finishing up a Teaching Writing course at the graduate level at the University of New Hampshire. Taking this course has certainly broadened my understanding of writing and more importantly how to teach it. For the spring semester I am continuing on with a Teaching Secondary English course, also at the graduate level. As a recent graduate from Salem State College, I have earned my BA degree in English, with a minor in History. Writing and reading is something I am very passionate about. I have learned different forms of writing, such as analytical, persuassive, reading responses, creative, and so on.
