As the English Department Chair I mentored and provided leadership to the staff I supervised as well as my fellow colleagues. I earned a BS in Education as well as a Certification in TESL. A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored people since third grade, and have recently graduated with my masters in business administration with honors. As consistently as I have tutored, I have also excelled in an academic atmosphere and would love to share my knowledge of test taking skills and subject knowledge. I have had a wide focus throughout my experiences, with emphasis on statistics, essay writing, and business theory, and I have also done university research on neurophysics modeling and emotional intelligence. I love being able to help a student or peer develop and implement new knowledge. I like to take the approach of teaching skill not just content. As a recent graduate from Salem State College, I have earned my BA degree in English, with a minor in History. Writing and reading is something I am very passionate about. I have learned different forms of writing, such as analytical, persuassive, reading responses, creative, and so on. With that experience, I have learned grammatical rules for writing that was very important to my success.
