I love to teach chilren to love to read! My 18 years of experience in the elementary classroom has been a wonderful experience. Most of those years have been in the first grade setting. I have worked with many different children on many different academic levels. Through my experiences, I have found that any student can be successful. It is my job as an educator to find the style of learning that will benefit each child I work with. Every child is special and all have the potential to excel in academics if given the right tools to work with.
I began tutoring while in high school. I worked with children in Kindergarten and First Grade. I continued tutoring children through two Americorps terms with Communities In Schools in Ardmore, Oklahoma. While in college, I worked as a substitute teacher for the elementary schools in the Ardmore area. I now have my Early Childhood and Elementary Education Teaching License in which I am certified to teach Pre-School-8th grade.
