I have tutored many people in several subjects over the years and find the work fulfilling. I recently have graduated out of the education system and am well aware of what it takes to succeed. I now have a BA in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate and on the way to earning these degrees I successfully passed some of the worlds most difficult tests on the first attempt. Over the course of my career, I have taught at just about every level, from middle school to graduate school. The most important thing to remember when teaching a child new concepts is patience. All children learn skills in different ways. Some catch on quickly, others need more time. Even the way in which you demonstrate how a problem is solved can make a difference. I usually try several methods for solving problems rather than insist that they learn the traditional methods only. The little bit of extra time spent giving them the optional techniques could make a world of difference in their educational success.
