My teaching style is that of an energetic and enthusiastic mentor. I listen allot, work very heard to establish rapport and trust, and work with them where they need the help.
I convey my own love of learning and how important reading comprehension, writing skills, tha ability to convey one's self in both writing and speech is, and how much they will need these skills to get ahead in life.
I try to "partner" with them to help them to move forward.
I try to help my students realize accomplishment, however small, at each step of the way.
Empowerment is what many students need. They need someone to believe in THEM. I do that well and make myself available for help - day or night. I am only a phone call away.
