I like to bring worksheets and activities to keep the lessons interesting. I also prefer to assign homework, creative writing prompts, and spelling quizzes to improve writing composition and reading comprehension.
I tutored my high school peers informally (without pay) as the President of the English Club at Guthrie Public High School, but I have recently started tutoring middle grade children as well as high school students. I scored a 31 on my ACT, was awarded the Smithsonian English Award, and I am currently enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma as a Creative Writing major. My tutoring subjects include English, Reading, Writing Skills, and Study Skills for middle grade children. Junior in high school at Edmond North. I help peers of mine with help that they may need. I am in Pre-Ap Spanish IV, and will be continuing my studies to earn my minor in Spanish. I am also in school, so my mind is fresh off what I am also being taught. I have straight A's with one or two B's occasionally. I am in NHS- National Honor Society and I strive to do my best.
I am very simplistic when it comes to teaching. I like to over-exaggerate the thought behind the theory, so that the student could understand the full concept behind the reasoning.
