I have been teaching science at the secondary level for over 17 years. I have taught chemistry and advanced chemistry, Earth science which includes "GOMA" Geology, Oceanography, Meteorology and Astronomy. I have also taught physics for years and tutor for high school biology exams. While in Virginia 95% of my students passed the Virginia test for Chemistry.

I teach as I coach, individually and with praise. Mathematics is a language, nothing more and nothing less. I teach it as a language. Learning math as a language brings tensions down and eases the students fears and inhibitions in feeling like "they should know this", no..that is not true. I ask the question...should you know how to speak French if your not from France? No? Well there is no country called mathematics so you aren't suppose to know how to speak Math, either....now are you? So...let's did in and learn this strange language they call Math.
As an undergraduate student I pursued a degree in Mathematics because I feel that math is a solid base for sound qualitative, and analytic decision making. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Andrews University, I was confronted with the task of completing a degree in the field of Engineering. With diligent efforts and a drive to overcome the academic challenges once faces as a student, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. With much exposure to technical papers and lab reports, I have acquired exceptional grammatical skills. As a student, I have always indirectly tutored, helping fellow classmates in various subjects.
I enjoy teaching children and preparing those who will be the future of our society. Each student learns differently and it is imperative that one’s teaching style must be adapted to the way a student learns. It is the job of the tutor to fully understand the student and the most effective ways for that student to learn so that he may function at his or her full potential.
