In my experiences as a student, as well as an instructor, I understand what teaching methods work and what doesn't. All students learn in a different way and some need more attention than others. A Little Bit About Me...

Although my BS degree is in Computer Science, I have taken (and passed!) courses in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Engineering - which means I have learned a lot of advanced math. My work as a software developer required writing "white papers" to explain and describe our software as well as test documents that would allow a person unfamiliar with our software to sit down and formally test it. The summer after my 8th grade year was my first experience teaching. It was there that I facilitated the younger children's use of the computer facilities during a summer reading program. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved mathematics and during high school I knew I wanted to work with children. During my senior year of high school I completed the Regional Program of Excellence through BOCES. This experience made me determine that becoming a teacher was what I wanted to do. I attended Siena College from September of 2005 until May of 2009. I am currently working on my Master's Degree at Utica College in their Leadership and Instruction in Inclusive Classrooms program.
I enjoy being creative in the classroom. I try to develop activities that will help my students master the material but also enjoy learning.
