Spanish, Math and Reading tutor.

I have tutored on and off for the past 12 years. I have tutored people from 5th grade to age 50. I have much experience tutoring any type of math up to Algebra II. I have also tutored in Spanish on numerous occasions. I have lived in Mexico and Costa Rica which has really made my Spanish skills solid.

A Little Bit About Me...

I was an in-school suspension teacher for two years at Durand High and Middle School, helping students get caught up on their pre-algebra, social studies, science, English and Spanish homework. Previously to becoming a teacher I worked in industry as a project manager or assistant for different companies, using Spanish occasionally. I student taught in 2004 at Hononegah HS, one semester at Auburn High School before being hired at Durand High School. I taught there for four years and took a job in 2008 at Christian Life High School where I am currently employed during the school year.

Psychology is one of my top subjects! I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a bachelor's degree in psychology. This being said, I thoroughly enjoy the topic and can think of nothing more enjoyable than tutoring the subject

I believe that a child cannot fully come to comprehend subject matter without having a chance to be immersed in it first. This philosophy lends to the hands-on, question-oriented form of teaching that I so firmly stand by. My early teaching and learning style was to do as many problems that were thrown at me in class or the text.
