Hello! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in psychology (3.5 GPA) in 2012 and have been tutoring English; ESL; reading; writing; and more for 8 years. I began as a volunteer through my university's writing lab, per recommendation by a cherished professor. I have worked with children and adults from a variety of cultures (South Korean; Venezuelan; Mexican; Turkish), and I have enjoyed playing the role of "student" in my own regard. I will be graduating from the University of Dayton with a Master's of Education degreee and I have a Bachelor’s degree in History. I love History and want to teach Social Studies in grades 4th-9th. I have had a lot of past experience when it comes to tutoring. I have tutored many people of various ages from children all the way to college students, relatively. I first like to start with finding out where the child is confused by going over and re-teaching past assignments that were misunderstood. I like to go over past tests and make sure they understand what they missed and teach them the correct answer. I believe that this is very important so they can grasp future material. I will then try many different teaching styles to either find what works best for the particular child or to keep things interesting and keep the child wanting to learn.
