Science and Math Tutor!

As a supplemental instruction leader, I created and lectured curriculum based lesson plans three hours a week to college students. I would teach anywhere from one student to multiple students. I tutored students in various levels of mathematics, including Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus. I provided assistance with test-taking strategies and study skills for college mathematics courses. My main goal is not to tell a student they are wrong, but to tell them how they can make the answer correct. Being that my mother is a teacher, I have picked up many of her techniques while tutoring in the peer tutoring program at my college. I believe that it helps a student more if they can be taught by someone who has a similar background to them and are similar in age.
