Science and Math Tutor!

As a supplemental instruction leader, I created and lectured curriculum based lesson plans three hours a week to college students. I would teach anywhere from one student to multiple students. I tutored students in various levels of mathematics, including Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus. I provided assistance with test-taking strategies and study skills for college mathematics courses. A Little Bit About Me...

I have over 12 years work experience in several areas. I have been teaching health science on a college level for 3 years. In the health science setting a teach a variety of areas such as medical terminology, biology, introduction to health careers, introduction to health occupations, and college introduction. I train pharmacy technicians as well as educate them on a variety of areas such as calculations, basic communication skills, basic reading skills, and grammar. A Little Bit About Me...

My main goal is not to tell a student they are wrong, but to tell them how they can make the answer correct. Being that my mother is a teacher, I have picked up many of her techniques while tutoring in the peer tutoring program at my college. I believe that it helps a student more if they can be taught by someone who has a similar background to them and are similar in age.
