A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is unique to each student's indivdual needs. I take time to recognize my students learning style and provide the need materials or teaching style based their needs. I prefer tutoring to working in a classroom because I can give each student the specialized one-on-one time they need to help not only keep them on track with their school's requirements, but also introduce them to better study habits that could help them excel in the classroom when they do return to school.

I realized that teaching was my passion and became a full-time ESL teacher at an elementary school in Washington, DC while earning masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from American University. A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2005 I went on to work as a Special Education aid at the middle school level. I was responsible for a ten year old girl with Asperger's Syndrome, which required me to monitor her throughout the day as well as modify each lesson given in each subject. As math was her weakest subject, I was able to develop a a learning system which suite her learning style.
