I have worked with Middle School age youth for almost a decade. I am Site Coordinator at an after school program & run a science focused club there. I also occasionally help the students who have been removed from our Homework Room with a number of subjects. I enjoy imparting my knowledge to my students via a variety of hands on learning activities and have always been a keen math, science and language arts student myself. I received my Bachelor's degree in 1989 and worked as an assistant engineer in Binghamton NY until I started my masters program at SUNY Cortland. I have held Physics, Earth science, Chemistry and Biology appointments in the years that followed in a variety of School districts throughout the state. As an oboist, I have studied for over 11 years with notable teachers from Oberlin & Eastman lineage. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from Nazareth College of Rochester in 2009. While there I had the opportunity to tutor in their community music program and took classes on studio teaching.
