I enjoy challenges and helping students overcome what seems "impossible". Each time I teach, I become better because students teach me how to teach them. It's important to understand individual interests and how each student approaches problems because everyone is different. For example, creating analogies is an impetus to learning. To get a better idea of how I approach this style of teaching, I wrote an article: "Education for the Young Mind: The Science Behind Pogo Sticking." My style of teaching is relatively comparisons and having the student recognize the use of information as it is used daily. Thus, middle school math is my choice and computer science to instruct. I use tape measures, yard sticks, beakers, pie charts money, and all visuals such as: dam’s bridges, and buildings for measurements.
My experience working, as a project manager in construction has been a nontraditional rewarding career. I graduated from Marshall University in the field of Safety Technology.
