I have recently graduated from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. While attending university, I studied various courses- natural science, social science, criminal justice, biology- but my true passion lies in foreign language. French and Portuguese were my primary languages studied. I am pleased to say that I was lucky enough to have studied abroad for a semester in Paris, France. As a recent graduate from Framingham State College, I have chosen to dedicate my life to helping others learn. I have chosen to teach young children because I aim to create the foundation for loving to learn in their early years to build upon in their future years. I earned a BA in Educational Psychology and a BS in Early Childhood Education with a Massachusetts Teaching License to teach grades Pre-K to 2. A Little Bit About Me...

As a progressive educator, I believe in attainment of the standard benchmarks by individualized methods, utilitizng a spectrum of teaching modalities. My personal affect is cheerful and professional, although I believe that learning should be fun, and with me, it is.
Prior to my second career in the field of service to at-risk senior citizens, I taught English for four years at Westport High School. Following the reduction in force made necessary by budgetary constraints, I taught for ten years at the Crystal Springs School in Assonet, MA as a Special Needs teacher. While rewarding, I missed the challenge of more literary pursuits and began teaching evening classes at a local communuity-based organization. My tutoring experience had its inception in that setting.
