Every child can learn, but they don't all learn the same way

I have been teaching for over 10 years. I am currently a second grade teacher. I tutor during the summers and have students of all ages, including middle school and high school. I believe all children can learn. It takes a special teacher to find out how a child learns and create lessons to engage that learning style. My comments on tutoring Reading : I am an expert reader and have read at a college level since 8th grade. I can help anyone learn to read.

I have tutored many people in English Composition I and II, from community colleges to major universities. I work with (and have experience with) students as early as 5th grade. I cover all subjects related to Language Arts, Creative Writing, Composition and Journalism. I do qualify for my teaching certificate in Oklahoma to teach Language Arts at any grade level. I received a B.A. degree from Central Oklahoma University in 1966. My major was English and my minor was Social Studies. I taught English in grades 9-11 for forty years. American Literature (Junior English) is what I taught the most but am qualified to assist students in understanding various literary genre as well as grammar lessons and writing assignments.
