I graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 2008 with a degree in Music performance. During my time at Oklahoma Christian, I played bass in the jazz band, string ensemble, and several other university performances. I also studied classical and jazz guitar during my time at Oklahoma Christian University, and studied under David Brandon here in Lubbock before leaving for school in Oklahoma. I have found over the course of my schoolwork that I excelled most in math. I would consider myself a strong candidate for your child's tutor in this subject. My hands-on approach teaches through a student's mistakes. I point out where the error occured, and then show how to correct it as we work through the problems. This+repitition=success. I am also a passionate musician, and I can teach bass guitar to beginner and intermediate level musicians.
I prefer a hands on method where I give the student examples and I watch as they work through them. This is especially true in Math. I have found the best way for a student to learn is to correct mistakes as they go. Through repition this will bring success.
