As a college graduate I have been driven to do my best to make sure every child is given the opportunity to have the very best education. I have earned my Bachelor degree in early childhood but do not hold a teacher's certificate. I have had extensitve training in edcuation courses, and love helping children read. Learning is progressive. Each student has his own point of understanding of a concept and all future concepts are built upon the previous one(s). Seeing the look and smile on the face of a student that finally grasps a concept, or realizes they have just read on their own for the first time, OH What a Feeling!!! I take each child as their own individual knowing they have their own needs in learning a subject. I teach in several different ways as to ensure the child grasps what they need. I see children today as my future for tomorrow, so helping them and making a difference in their lives will make a difference in mine. I have not forgotten any individual I have helped to this day.
After graduating in 1996, I opened my own tutoring service in Dickson, TN. I tutored individuals from public schools and home school in Math, Reading, and several other subjects needed until 2001. Life is the greatest teacher. Throughout my life I have been presented with numerous opportunities to expand upon my natural abilities. At a young age I was bilingual in English & Spanish which opened up opportunities for me to informally translate in my community.
