My comments on tutoring Piano : I hold a bachelor's degree in performance piano from the University of Illinois. Currently I teach piano.

In addition to working as a director of public relations at both a college and a university, I also was a reporter/editor at a daily newspaper. My specific duties were serving as a police reporter, a feature writer and copy editor. In addition, I covered school board meetings and other tasks -- whatever needed to be done. Collaborative & Fun Teacher

I worked in the financial sector for 10 years and have a Master's Degree in Economics and Finance. Since then I have focused my efforts into freelance teaching, and have worked with students in a variety of subjects: chess, math, finance, language arts, history, piano, and writing, among others. Other subjects I’ve studied informally: literature, language, history, politics & government.

A Little Bit About Me...

During my junior and senior year in college, I TA’ed a finance class called options pricing for two semesters. Options pricing was a difficult subject. I worked very hard to receive an A- for the course, which turned out to be my favor. I had insight to the intellectual hurdles other students had to overcome to master the material. So, teaching them came very naturally. In addition, I abandoned the lecture format for a very interactive teaching format. This allowed the students to ask many questions and allowed me to gage the level of comprehension from in the students real-time.
