I have been a math tutor for several students in the Jenks/Tulsa area. As an engineer, math is a natural strong suit of mine. Previous students have seen test scores improve significantly. Using techniques to break down and solve problems inside your head is what I love to do. In tutoring, it is best to locate where the student is having trouble, and start at that point, since math builds on itself. I always begin by working 1 or 2 examples of a certain type of problem. Then, when the student is ready, let him/her work a similar problem. When the student has mastered that concept, we move on to the next type of problem.
