Of the essence in tutoring is to make the subject pertinent and fun, as well as applicable to everyday life. For small children, we have phonetics to help the child master sounds and words. I do use Ipod teaching games to involve the child actively. I taught accounting I & II, personal income tax, managerial accounting, business administration, bookkeeping and public relations. I did tutor my grandson last year for 4 months while his family stayed with us. Algebra was one of the courses.
