I believe with the right supports all children can learn. I have tutored students with special needs. My goal is to help the child build on their strengths and believe they can improve on their weaknesses. My teaching style is to set objectives that challenge students and support them by building on what they already know. I am extremely patient and professional and well liked by my students.
With a degree in Special Education and a Masters in Education I have learned about how children learn best. I have a Florida Teacher's License for teaching ESE (Exceptional Students Education), Spanish, Elementary Education, and other subjects. I taught in the Ocala public school system. I am currently a School Psychologist for the school system. My job is to help identify students who have learning problems and develop interventions to target these problem areas. Since I have summers off, I usually work as a teacher/tutor. I absolutely love working with children on a one-to-one basis. I have experience working with students in Elementary School through College.
My teacher style is to first identify the specific area the student is struggling with. I help the students develop skills to better tackle the area.
