I've been a teacher's unofficial little helper since I was in Elementary, helping the students of my class that the teacher simply didn't have the extra time to help. From then on, I helped and even eventually taught my younger siblings when the current school system left them in the dust, and even helped them get a leg up and advance faster than their classmates. This is my eighth year of teaching. I have taught grades K-5 special education in the subjects of reading,writing and math. I currently teach a modified curriculum level one class in Immokalee. This is my second year of teaching in the state of Florida. Last year I taught in an Inclusion setting in the grades of K and 1. In the state of NC I uses the Wilson Reading Program to teach phonics. I have been a volunteer Sunday School Teacher for about twenty years teaching children and adults from ages 3 to 93. I have also taught scores of friends and relatives how to sail and water ski over the past three decades.
