English is one of my top subjects! I have am certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I studied TESOL at the graduate level. I taught English as a Foreign Language in Mexico at a language school at all levels from children to adults. I also tutored English to orphan boys in Mexico.

I have been a high school Spanish teacher for the past two and a half years here in Florida. Before that I taught English as a Foreign language to adolescents and adults at a language school in Mexico and I tutored children at an orphanage as well. I have substitute taught for two years in Ohio and I have tutored Spanish and English as well in Ohio. I have attended University for a year in Mexico studying Spanish during my undergraduate studies. I studied teaching English as a Second Language at the graduate level in Ohio for two semesters and it really improved my understanding of how to teach English by only using the target language.

I've been a teacher's unofficial little helper since I was in Elementary, helping the students of my class that the teacher simply didn't have the extra time to help. From then on, I helped and even eventually taught my younger siblings when the current school system left them in the dust, and even helped them get a leg up and advance faster than their classmates. I've tutored a few younger kids in various subjects in my high school years, as well as occasionally teaching Taekwondo classes.
My teaching style is flexible, tailored to the specific needs of the student in question. Everybody learns differently and at different paces!

A Little Bit About Me...

Over 10 years experience teaching English and writing at the college level. I have tutored and been a substitute teacher at the K-12 level for 3 years. My work and life experiences include being an Adjunct Professor, marketing writer for an international firm,writing everything from a book on a medieval legend to technical journals, as well as being a mother of four lovely, educated, and happy children.
My teaching style is interactive and I find out what the student wants to know and learn before we proceed. We set our own goals and then work together on how to achieve them.
