I have tutored since 1975 in math. All students have improved greatly. I have taught in middle school, HS, and community college. I use fun games, puzzles, and hands-on experiences to help students learn. I have experience with students with learning differences. I find a way to have the students learn.

Science is one of my top subjects!

In May I will graduate with a BA in Chemistry and will be 3 credit hrs away from a BA in Mathematics at the University of Tulsa. I have also completed a minor in English and am 3 credit hours away from a minor in Physics. I have twice presented research at the American Chemical Society national conference in San Diego and New Orleans. My passion is working with children of all ages. I believe all children can learn and it depends on how you approach their learning. If a child is not learning, I need to re-evaluate how I go about teaching. I am very patient and have an outgoing personality. I believe that you must teach to the whole child before true learning can happen.
I have been a classroom teacher for 9 years. All 10 of my years out of school have been in the education field. A Little Bit About Me...

I know the value of a tutor in a young person’s life. As a child I struggled in math, but working with a tutor I overcame my difficulties in this area and eventually went on to complete calculus level two and even become the math club president in high school.
