After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Georgia in 2000, I went on to study Poetry with renowned poets Bill Knott and John Skoyles at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. My first year out of college I taught at an unaccredited private school, and then at an accredited day care center. The next 7 years were at a public school. Teaching has been a motivation for me for all of my working life.
