Three years of experience in writing and editing as a staff member at the Grand Valley Lanthorn, a student-run newspaper at GVSU. I began as an intern and held various writing and editing jobs throughout my tenure, ultimately departing as editor in chief. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. My major was English Literature, with a double minor in French Language and Communications. I am also a certified composition peer tutor, assisting students in Composition I, Composition II, and graduate level papers. I have also written procedural instructions for positions. I have worked in the automotive and mortgage industries.
My teaching style is very holistic. I want to empower students to discover and employ their voices. I want to develop critical thinking skills, analysis, synthesis, and retention, basically, I want to help people *THINK* about what they are saying, what they are doing, to interpret the world around them.
