My teaching style is very holistic. I want to empower students to discover and employ their voices. I want to develop critical thinking skills, analysis, synthesis, and retention, basically, I want to help people *THINK* about what they are saying, what they are doing, to interpret the world around them. My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : In addition to having been a state-certified teacher for 18 years, I have 6 years experience tutoring my way through college.

I am a certified teacher of French and English; I have taught both subjects at the middle and high school levels for 18 years. In addition, I have 6 years of tutoring experience before becoming a teacher. I have worked with students of all ages, elementary through college. I am one course shy of my Masters' in French. I have worked with inner-city middle school students for more than 10 years, through a program called "Math Corps." (Google it.)
