I have successfully completed the CPA Examination. I have a degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas and have completed the Advanced Accounting needed to qualify for the CPA Examination. When employed as a manager of a private trust company, I effectively managed $150 million of assets for client accounts. As the Manager I was very active in the design and implementation of policies and procedures, as well as training and supervising the various accounting functions. This job experience as well as my recent educational endeavor as a CPA Exam Candidate, has made me a valuable and effective communicator when placed in a teaching environment.

Teaching has been a lifelong practice of mine, whether in a job by choice or in my life by happenstance. I consider myself a natural teacher. I taught Sunday school in high school. I then went on to get a degree in education from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. I taught several years at the preschool level. Since having my son, I have spent many hours volunteering in the public schools. I was an exceptionally driven high school student, taking the most difficult schedule my small private school would offer. My course work included AP calculus and AP US government, on both exams I received good marks. In college I studied a wide variety of classes in pursuit of a degree in the liberal arts. My main foci were history, foreign languages and English literature and grammar while maintaining a love for the sciences and mathematics. I have spent the last two years teaching English as a second language in China. My time there was spent teaching the oral skills and tutoring in reading and writing.
