As a double major in Mathematics (BA) and Computer Science (BA), I found myself facing many difficult problems in my four years at SUNY Geneseo. In such rigorous programs, both BA's helped me develop skills to attack and efficiently solve any problem that I encountered. Moreover, I improved and honed those skills working in the Computer Science Learning Center as a tutor for two years. A successful combination will result in mastering of concepts and development of skills as opposed to simply reciting facts. I believe students will more readily learn if the subject matter is made relevant to the world they live in. Between my studies at Roberts Wesleyan College in the liberal arts field, where I earned a bachelors degree, and my studies in math and computational science I have an exceptionally broad knowledge base.
