As I entered college, I quickly was labeled a tutor by my friends. They would find me before exams so I could give them a crash course on what they needed to know before an exam. Little by little, I had a following of friends and acquaintances who were reliant on me to do well in their courses. Since my friends and classmates found me very helpful, a handful of them recommended me to a tutoring and peer mentoring program at the University, where I eventually worked. I was located in a center where any student could reach me if they needed help in their science courses. After a few minutes, I ask them what they think is the best way to approach the problem.
