My comments on tutoring Study Skills : I have lived with ADHD my whole life, so as you can guess studying was a huge problem. I have figured out the best way to actually study, but even better, To CONTINUE studying all my subjects. A lot of numeric devices and memory tools i have learned. Whether unfocused, or need better ways to remember material, or need to simply study more.

I have always been a hands on learner, so that is mostly the way i portray my lessons, by doing, instead of readin. However i also see the need in having to sit down and Get to work, because some thing are better learned on paper

Elementary Education and ESL

A student cannot learn unless he is comfortable and confident. My first priority before teaching is to make sure the student is relaxed and believes he can accomplish the goal. I also like to get to know my student to know what kind of learner he is and what he likes. My teaching style is "delight directed" whenever possible.
In 2001, I received my certification in Elementary Education from CCSU. I then substitute taught for the town of West Hartford for 2 years while I got married and had my son. My philosophy is that education should be as individualized as possible because people do not learn in the same manner. For instance, some people are visual learners while others, like myself, are auditory learners. I strongly believe that educators should expose their students to as many fields and ideas as possible.
