I really enjoy teaching all ages. From my background in coaching young children how to swim I've become well adjusted to dealing with difficult situatioins in a learning environment. I use humor to bring the subject matter to life, and I help the student come to her/his own understanding through discussion of the course material, encouraging her/him to take an active role in learning. Because I work with students from such varied backgrounds, I believe that the best method is one that allows for flexibility and at the same time incorporates lessons from several fields at once.
