Once in a classroom I realized that I was meant to teach. I love working with students who are challenging and those who challenge me. I believe that I can become a better teacher only by continually challenging myself and my students. The key phrase “engaging students” seems less than what is required in the classroom. I want my students to be engaged but I want them to encompass and enjoy what they are doing as well. I love technology and new method topics; I have a very strong math and science background as well as excellent written and verbal presentation skills. Born as a Chinese national and I speak fluent Chinese Mandarin language and I studied Business in Accounting and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1990 and my mathematical course I always get "A" on my grade (I even get 105 on my test score, believe it or not) and I still love math. Therefore I can tutoring not only business in Accounting and also Math or language in Chinese.
I enjoy teaching one on one more then in a group class setting and I do enjoy teaching individual more then in a group setting. I do wish to teach "Chinese" as a personal language when I retire in the future if we don't have SS since I am a baby boomer (hope this is not true)

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style.... depends on the day, depends on the students, depends on the topic. One minute I can be dancing around the room and the next we're having a more serious discussion. My expectations are very high and I always push my students to do "just a bit better" than they think they can at that moment. At the end of the day, a lot of "just a bit better"'s add up to a whole lot! I wholeheartedly believe that each student has a potential that is limited only to their current experience--giving them new opportunities and showing them not only what they can do but what the world has to offer them... this can change a kid's life!
