I have always enjoyed working with children, especially in a school setting. I graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas with a degree in Communications (emphasis in Journalism) along with minors in Religion and Youth Ministry. While in college, I was a member of the yearbook staff as well as serving as an editor in various capacities for the newspaper. I also was selected by my newspaper advisor to serve as a writing mentor for a United Methodist publication.
