Good at explaining things so students can understand them.

I have Algebra One and the Principles of Physics. In a small private school, there were two students who were failing at the end of the semester. With the permission of the headmaster and the parents, I gave each of them a grade of "Incomplete" and then tutored them through the Summer until they could each pass the final exam. They both earned B- grades and, more importantly, succeeded in Algebra Two.
Finding a way to explain complicated concepts in a way that works for the individual student.

After college I became a pension analyst and have studied for several actuarial exams. In my current position one of my responsibilities is to educate new hires or colleges on systems and processes. That is why I joined Bridge to Success Program on January 2001. BTS was a program, sponsored by Roger Williams University at the time, which focused in assisting and encouraging students from low income families as well as minorities.
