I am a hands-on learner and believe that the best way to teach is to have the students participate. Students should be comfortable in their learning environment, and as a teacher, it is important to adapt your teaching methods to fit the students strengths. I have a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, minor in Environmental Engineering, and am currently enrolled in graduate school to pursue a M.S. in Sustainable Engineering. I do wish to teach "Chinese" as a personal language when I retire in the future if we don't have SS since I am a baby boomer (hope this is not true) Born as a Chinese national and I speak fluent Chinese Mandarin language and I studied Business in Accounting and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1990 and my mathematical course I always get "A" on my grade (I even get 105 on my test score, believe it or not) and I still love math. Once in a classroom I realized that I was meant to teach. I love working with students who are challenging and those who challenge me. I believe that I can become a better teacher only by continually challenging myself and my students. The key phrase “engaging students” seems less than what is required in the classroom. I want my students to be engaged but I want them to encompass and enjoy what they are doing as well. I love technology and new method topics; I have a very strong math and science background as well as excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
