Economics and Portuguese tutor, learn the different way!

I like to have very hands-on tutoring sessions with a lot of discussion and where the student and I work together to solve any of the issues at hand. I often connect in-class theory to real life examples, and try to keep things fun and interesting. My approach and background in economics are unorthodox, and thus I will surely help the student see any of the "usual" topics from a new and different perspective.
I am currently a Master's student in Economic Theory and Policy at the Levy Economics Institute. I have several years of experience with economic theory, practice, econometrics, research and analysis and truly enjoy discussing it. I was a tutor for both economics and Portuguese (my native language) during my undergraduate years.

Before earning a BA in Biology at Skidmore College and after graduating high school, I took three years off to play hockey. Concurrently, I enrolled in classes at Mount Wachusett Community College in Massachusetts and tutored in the math department. I tutored students in algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and some calculus. A Little Bit About Me...

I have experience working with adults but I love working with children as well. I have the ability to manipulate the way I teach that will maximize the learning for each individual. I'm am a very personal and creative person thats wants everyone to succeed in their academics.
While studying for my undergrad in economics I found a passion in helping others succeed as I was. I often held study sessions with groups ranging from 2- 10 people at least twice a week. When during these sessions if an individual felt lost, I would often meet with them at a later date to coach them separately.
