I currently teach at a small K-12 school where I taught business classes. My current course load includes Introduction to Career, Business Management, Business Math, Accounting, and Work-based Learning. I am also the director of the Stratford Alternative Education Program. This program allows me to help students complete courses such as Chemistry, Biology, and Algebra so they may receive a state diploma. Working in a K-12 environment has helped me gain a better understanding of the cognitive development and thought processes. I have enjoyed working with the students not only in the academic realm, but also behaviorally, socially, and emotionally.

I have taught for 15 years. I began as a Preschool teacher and did that for four years. I also taught a a Charter School for at risk teens in NJ. I have been working as a para-educator for the past 8 years. I greatly enjoy my work. I have worked with students with disabilities that range form mild learning disabilities to sever, such as autism. I love watching their faces light up when they grasp the concept of what they are trying to learn. I have taken classes at Community College of Vermont towards earning my associates degree in elementary education.
