For example, if we are learning Le Chartelier's Princlple, which concerns the response of a chemical reaction to stress, I have my students discuss the types of stress they experience, and their responses. We compare this to the beautifully precise and appropriate reaction in Chemistry, where the response is never inapproriate, insufficent or in excess. This method has also taught me that I have much to learn from my students and their life experiences. . Inorganic Chemistry was my favorite class of my academic career. I had fantastic teachers and decided when I had the opportunity to give back to academia, I would teach inorganic chemistry. After I finished my Ph.D I became an adjunct professor at a local community college. I have been teaching chemistry for five years.
